Almost everyone agree'd it was for the best. /shw/ stays a weekend thing, how the community there like it, and the non shiny hunting side of /vp/ doesn't have to deal with another slow, daily general, because apparently they upset so many people.

Pretty much this. They give away their legit Shinies too, if they are missing an IV, or the wrong Gender/Ability, ect.

It's a lot nicer than getting a cloned Shiny. Nice community. No need to hate, just ignore them if you don't Shiny Hunt

I dunno, I don't really consider cloned mons cheated in the same way as genned shinies are, but it's nice to get a clone of something nice. A while back I got a pentaperfect HA Slowpoke from a based anon doing a giveaway, but better than getting something from someone else with 4 IVs or Oblivious if you ask me.

So on one hand you're queueing up for something that may be cloned, but at least it's good (or even perfect in some cases), and on the other you're queueing up for something that nobody will ever really make use of seeing as it is ultimately a pretty bad trophy.
