You can't just ban SB Blaziken because it opens other possibilities of many different pokemon existing in different tiers due to their separate abilities. Basically slippery slope.
You can't just ban Speed Boost because there are other pokemon who operate just fine with, which is basically every other pokemon with the ability. It's only really powerful on Blaziken.
By banning Blaziken as a whole, you avoid the slippery slope and unnecessarily crushing the usefulness of other pokemon.
Personally, I don't buy the slippery slope argument because in competitive pokemon there doesn't exist a gap in power thats as large as Blaze Blaziken and Speed Boost Blaziken. Blaze Blaziken barely offers anything that Infernape can't accomplish except having higher attack, a few unique moves and Baton Pass.
