Blaziken goes from UU to Uber because of an ability change.

What other Pokemon is capable of this other than the obvious like :
>Speed Boost on a pokemon with good STAB and coverage

That ability brings a PU shitmon like Gothielle to OU, if you're trapped a pokemon without SE moves you pretty much won. On a strong pokemon like Mega-Gengar it is insane

It can outdamage Silk Scarf Arceus Ekiller, can't it?

It really depends, Arceus has amazing stats and isn't even S-Rank, yet it has the most powerful Espeed in the game along with Swords Dance, Shadow Claw and EQ/Overheat to remove Ghosts and Steels
Even it couldn't dethrone Kyogre as king of Ubers and is only A-Rank
Mega Salamence is going to need a really fucking good mega if it's going to be sharing a ranking with Kyogre, Xerneas, Mewtwo and Mega Gengar

I really doubt it's going to fit the definition of S-Rank though

Haxorus with Elemental Punches, more coverage and ability like Sheer Force would rise up pretty good in usage, it's one of the few good dragons that doesn't get OHKOed by Mamoswine's Ice Shard

There was an Other Metagame where you could use almost any ability on any Pokemon. Refrigerate Weavile was one of the standouts, even with its chronic allergy to getting hit. Given the fact that Weavile is already BL with two utterly worthless abilities, something like Refrigerate could easily be enough to break it.

I think I might have a way to nerf Parental Bond. You know how the second hit does 50% damage right? why not also half the percentage of the move's secondary effect during the second hit.

That or make the baby's attack do 33% instead of 50%.

You kinda just said what's obvious. My suggestion was a Mega Mamoswine with Defiant, for the reasons just listed. It can handle pretty much any Defogger, a Mega would probably boost its Speed by at least 10 points to outspeed and OHKO Excadrill, the most common rapid spinner. That leaves Mew as the next most common Defogger, and guess what? Mamoswine learns Knock Off. Thick Fat is really only good for the Fire neutrality, whereas Defiant Mamo would be an absolute terror on HO teams.

Parental Bond is only fucking broken because they buffed Kangaskhan's Attack stat AS WELL AS giving it the baby's extra attack. It doesn't make any fucking sense since Kanga herself doesn't actually change.

Just for the record its not speed boost being on a pokemon with good stab and coverage that makes blaziken ou, its that combined with swords dance and baton pass, the later of which is one of the most powerful moves in the game

Farfetch'd's issue is no longer power, but either speed or defenses. It's slow and can't take any either, let alone a super effective one. Thanks to the Stick and the changes made to critical hits, it can be decent offensively.

Speed is definitely a necessity. Just a mega with high speed would take care of the problem, though, in any case. Giving it an extra type that gives it an immunity would be really really nice, too.

I would say you're a dumbass for believing this, but I honestly can't be sure with Smogon anymore.

Still, Gothitelle is only UU atm, barely capable of OHKOing stuff it can hit for SE damage with specs in the OU tier. Yeah sure it can throw a choice item at a wall, but lots of other things can do that by surprise. No way is it going to be banned from ubers.

ST Goth isn't supposed to kill shit like it can in OU, it's meant to use something as SubCM on set-up bait mons or to come in and set Trick Room, it's nowhere near as bad as MGengar, but it's still broken
