It's kinda useable in NU as either a spikes setter or a TR sweeper or with SD and sucker punch. It gets shit on by Granbull, but it's not terrible.

Granbull doesnt completly counter Cacturne. Cacturne could run a gimmicky set with Roseli Berry+Belch to surprise most Granbulls.

I use this in doubles more than i do in singles but its the best i could come up with for this shitmon. Sucker punch is still priority and you can fuck up one poke with switcheroo. If you wanna go mixed take out the HP ev's nobody's stopping you, caturnes defenses are shit

Back in Gen IV I had planned a 3-part team of Starmie, Infernape, and either Shiftry or Cacturne. I had a massive amount of trouble deciding between the two before eventually going with Shiftry.

Lax incense = lagging tail, you're slow as fuck so you wont notice when you go last and sucker punch is a different priority bracket so it'll go first against thing like alakazam. Switcheroo lets you cripple a something by making it go last.
