i traded my turtwig for a Gabite
it was Fun and garchomp has been a real bro ever since
and made it more challenging when he wouldnt listen to me or the Ice gym

I replayed Y and gave myself a Gabite and mega stone. It was pretty fun to use Mega Garchomp in-game.

Not him but why not? I use a full team as early as possible. Makes the game harder since EXP is divided up and Pokemon is a game that rewards having one super strong mon more than six weak mons.

I always use my Starter and take it to the Elite Four. ;_; I have a Shiny Buneary I bred though, so I'll probably have that as my Mega assuming you can get the Stone before post-game. If not, I'll just use Mega Sceptile or something during the main game.

Eh, try it yourself. The scaling in Gen 5 isn't that big unless the level difference is particularly huge. EXP share makes any play style piss easy, and it can be turned off anyway.

Talking about the story mode here. If you just use only one (semi-decent) mon, then it'll get all the EXP and it'll soon far outlevel any opponent you'd face. Even if you run into a horrible type match up then you'll still win because you'll outspeed and OHKO your opponent. That's why Pokemon speedruns just use one, maaaaaaybe two mons for fighting. Gen 5 made this less efficient, but still pretty doable.

I used to do this, giving myself different starter and planning what pokemon I wanna catch, but in time it kinda became meh. Switched that orderliness to nuzlocking and I love it. Maybe I go back to planning one day, but that won't be any time soon.

Pseudos are found lategame because they break the damn game difficulty (except Goomy and Sliggoo) , and don't tell me that they evolve late anyway because a Gabite would still destroy everything.
Just hack yourself a LV1 Mewtwo at this point.
It's like partecipating a bycicle race with a damn Ferrari.

My "starter" is either gonna be Skitty, or Slowpoke.
I'm significantly leaning towards saying "fuck it" and have them both since Skitty is easy to get early in game.
They're both my favorites though, and I'd love to play ORAS with them.
