>>20643901I kinda wish Vital Spirit worked somewhat like that. Instead of preventing Sleep, it would guarantee that the user would be able to act each turn. It'd look something like this:
>XYZ is frozen solid!>>XYZ's Vital Spirit!>XYZ used [move]!>XYZ is confused!>it hurt itself in its confusion!>>XYZ's Vital Spirit!>XYZ used [move]!>Foe used Protect!>XYZ used [move]!>The foe protected itself!>Foe used Fake Out!>XYZ flinched!>>XYZ's Vital Spirit!>XYZ used [move]!>XYZ is tightening its focus!>Foe used [damaging move]!>XYZ lost its focus and couldn't move!Basically, you'd always get far enough along when using a move that power points would be deducted from it. Recharge turns will also be negated, but there's no message for that because the "XYZ must recharge!" indicator only pops up after the point where you're supposed to select a move.
