So I'm personally thinking of making a Steel-Type team for doubles, using sandstorm, but I'm not sure who to use or what members would be good. Thinking pic related.

Also mono-type teams you've made, how good are they? Is the actual story game harder with a single type?

Bastiodon just isn't good at all m8
It just has such a bad defensive typing and kinda shit stab moves

If it got the Mega Aggron treatment, it'd be so good

True that. Both of the fossils from gen IV were cool, but just frankly not that good. Sure, Rampardos hits like a train, but he's super fragile, and then 'Don has great defense but no offensive presence at all ... Sucks but true.

Heatran, aegislash, and skarmory are great for mono steel because each of them is immune to one of steel's weaknesses.

When making monotype teams, the most important things are:
>Varied weaknesses
>Offensive coverage

For example, I have a mono dark team, but only 3 of my team is weak to fighting, 5 are weak to fairy, and 3 are weak to bug. (M-ttar, sableye, hydreigon, mandibuzz, greninja, drapion)

Other good options for mono steel teams:
Excadrill (good scarfer)
Empoleon (good special defense and special attacker)
Scizor
Magnezone
Ferrothorn (good physical wall)
Mawile
Metagross (good AV user)
Bisharp

I was thinking of making a new thread for this but felt it would be better here. I'm thinking of running a monotype Ghost team, anyone have any tips? The Pokémon I have in mind to use are Gengar, Chandelure, Golurk, Cofagrigus, Aegislash, and Drfiblim (although I might use Mega Banette if you don't roll with Mega Gengar).

I tried a monobug team a while ago, but in today's meta it's so hard. There's like almost no bug types that are neutral to fire (Crustle, Shuckle), or flying :(, Sure they get good coverage sometimes with rock offensive moves, but stuff like a common Talonflame can usually take half my team out.

Then I tried poison, with toxic spikes + venoshock and venom drench, it worked a lot better.
