No, you can't. It will tell you that the save files don't match and you will not be able to retrieve the Pokemon. However, I think you can call Nintendo's costumer service and they will give you some tricks to bypass that check by pressing certain buttons.

wash it with water until all the sugar is off it, then let it completely dry before you try and run it
