>>20672481Since 4kids' departure, the script has been overall more faithful to the original, and they almost never cut things for content. The music is a mixed bag. The japs jew them too hard to get the full OST so they can only get bits and pieces of it, and then they have to compose tracks for the rest. The VA are pretty hit and miss too. Ash, James, and Meowth are almost universally panned by everyone (James in particular is really bad), while most of the others are tolerable.
As for the nip version, the voices for the overwhelming majority of the cast come off as really generic stereotyping. Ash and TR are pretty good, but the rest are really forgettable. The music is based, but the volume control is horrid. It's way too damn loud most of the time.
Neither version is particularly groundbreaking IMO, so I guess it depends on what you're in it for.
