Holy fuck I didn't know that.

It needs some serious balk buff, +100 probably isn't even enough to work with, maybe take away 20 or so from its speed?

Also, if it had water absorb, it would have a fantastic typing.

This guy btw also has one of the best typings in the game (levitating poison), it's even better than Skuntank since ground is more popular to use than psychic.
I hope Weezin gets a defensively oriented mega some day.

I was just thinking about this. Decrease speed, increase defenses, and a give it a big special attack boost to boot. With these changes and a decent ability, a mega could save it.

Water moves can't be used on your team. (Or just water absorb, but autists will cry that the wording won't fit perfectly. The theme I am going for is a very hot fountain/oasis.)

Water absorb makes more sense completely but, storm drain wouldn't be bad.
I don't get why there are people against it having an immunity. It's already weak to earthquake, stone edge and neutral to grass.

Why is there all of this hubbub about negating Camerupt's Water weakness? Fire/Ground is a fucking fantastic type combination, both offensively and defensively. It has five resistances and immunities to Electric and Burn, with just two weaknesses to worry about. For reference, Garchomp has two fewer resistances, one more weakness, and gets crippled by a Burn. That Water weakness isn't what's dooming Camerupt to the depths of NU.

This is what's killing Camerupt. A spread like 70/80/105/115/105/55 could've been fan-fucking-tastic, especially with Rock Polish to work with.

because giving it a new ability is way the fuck more feasible than outright rearranging its stats. also garchomp has a 600 BST, it doesn't count. fucking tyranitar has 7 weaknesses, that's not the point.

again, we can't just change its stats around, so we work with what we have. making it a fire type that fucks water gives it a niche at least.

Something weather-related could be fun. Sand Rush might be interesting, since camel racing is a thing. And Drought is obvious. Not losing Simple when it evolves would be great, considering how many boosting moves it gets (Growth, Stockpile, Rock Polish). Unaware would also be great, though ideally you'd want Slack Off or Recover to go with that.

Did I say that it should've had those stats? It's what could've happened, but obviously didn't. Just like Water Absorb, which I doubt would be enough to make up for the paraplegic Greninja stat spread that we got.
You could slap an extra 30 BST on it plus a new Ability and possibly come up with a neat Mega.

It would with Simple. A single Rock Polish gives it up to 537 speed (588 with a +speed nature), which zooms by the entire unboosted metagame. A positive nature lets you tie with max speed scarfed base 129s, which don't actually exist.

Storm drain is too much, but water absorb really fits since its a fucking camel and a fucking volcano, you throw a water at volcano, it drinks it up.

Also if he'd get a mega he'd really need a good ability like that, otherwise, with that bst, there would be no use for him over any other mega or similar pokemon don't you think?

70/~110/~110 defenses with only ground weakness, it would still pretty much require weather/trick room support to be really good.
