Pair with Thick Fat Dewgong in doubles and then use Entrainment. There's lots of other combos you can use like Moxie Pyroar as well with an Air Balloon but those are just a few.

Just like Slaking and Regigigas can pull their weight without being OP, right? Face it, GF's drawbacks make their pokemon unusable. They always go overboard. Archeops is just the tamest example.

Thanks Gamefreak. It has a great design and could wreck shit if not for its shitty ability. I trained one in White and he was a bro, but couldn't transfer it because I was playing on a flashcard. RIP Millennium.

Archeops is one of my favorites.

Defeatist doesn't even matter because it rapes for a couple turns and then dies to a flick of a fingernail. Great glass cannon.

The smogonfaggots are going to say it's outclassed in that role but that doesn't make it any less fun .

Defeatist is not anywhere in the same league as Slow Start as far as making it unusable.

Archeops has zero bulk; any competent SE attack will kill it. As a result the ability barely even matters. Its role is to get a kill or two then die.
