>Fairy type released
>Immune to Dragon, a popular attacking type
>Weak to Poison and Steel, uncommon attacking types outside of STAB
There are many that consider that Fairy is now too powerful a type due to the act it resists and is super effective against key attacking types (Dragon, Fighting, and Dark) and only truly weak to two of the most uncommon attacking types (Poison and Steel). However, there's a few very simple questions we must ask ourselves:
>Why with the addition of a brand new type and even the adjustments of other type effectivenesses are we acting like the metagame in relation to the types is the "same"
>Why are Poison and Steel types offensively still considered and treated uncommon when a whole type has been introduced that actually should give a rise to their popularity?
Basically, why are we trying to hang onto the relations of the types from Gen 2 when here in Gen 6 it's simply not the same type chart anymore?
tl;dr Why aren't we making Poison and Steel more common offensively?
