Taking the Mt. Battle "challenge". The only challenge for the first 80~ battles was staying awake through it all. Dat sleep-inducing battle music, dem slow ass battles, the no difficulty. Argh. Why did younger me do that multiple times even after claiming the reward?

I still haven't beaten that game and started it a few months ago. I am stuck grinding pokemon in phenic city because most of the ones I am using get destroyed or they are shadow and have sat in my pc for most of the game. I am at realgam tower and mostly depended on umbreon and typhlosion to get me out of every situation.

It takes less than hour if you're starting with nothing. Pre-XY you would be breeding for months for just one pent-perfect pokemon, even if both of your parents were hexflawless. If you wanted a hexflawless pokemon, even using hexflawless parents, the odds were 1:59,916 vs the 1:31 it is with the destiny knot and both parents being hexflawless in Gen 6.

It's really not that bad now.

I did the 100 battle challenge in Colo for the Ho Oh(obviously) some months ago
Seeing NPCs send out shit like Groudon and Jirachi was definitely something new

Get a bulky pokemon with false swipe and few weakneses, then, hunt for metal/rock and ghost types. You will restart the game a lot.

I only used shards in BW2 once.

To give my Lucario Ice Punch as soon as you reach Driftveil. An old man in the Nimbasa Poke-center gives you 10 red shards just for talking to him.

catching breeding pokemon to be JUST weak enough to kill a horde of sevipers but NOT kill the zangoose. Then use toxic on it. Immunity. Not Toxic Boost. Faint or run, repeat the process. I swear I've been doing this for a week now because even Shuckle hits too hard and it keeps fucking raining. This is so pointless.
