Aside from the Fighting weakness, its seven-or-so others really aren't so bad when one considers how physically and specially bulky it is. It can tank plenty of sweepers even if hit supereffectively, and then OHKO back with a neutral move, or even get a Dragon Dance in and start murdering everything. In addition, it doesn't lose out on too much by maxing Speed, again especially while Mega, because thosr defenses are still hard to break and it's outspeeding almost everything in a single boost. Just having Dragon Dance easily puts Tyranitar in a place that most Pseudos can't reach. Plus Sand Stream essentially gives an Assault Vest boost for more than enough time for Tyranitar to set up and ravage a team.
It really sucks how easily Fighting Types can counter it, but Tyranitar's easily one of the best Pseudos if you can just think ahead and eliminate his big threats.
