OP, the DNS manipulation won't do anything because the old servers are down. You have to use a flashcart and an actual game to access Pokebank or use PKHex. There's the option of a PowerSave, but I'm not sure just what the codes can do in regard to this matter.

Speaking of flashcarts, I'm having some issues with mine.

I have R4 and R4i, both work just fine with any other roms but BW/BW2. It boots, but then there's just white screen. Is there anything I can do or am I fucked?

Seriously though, I wish I could help you out. It probably has something to do with a patch or update, but I've been using an AceKard since I started with flashcarts.
I remember hearing something about R4 Wood, but that's about it. Sorry I couldn't do more for you.
