I know when you shinify something it changes the ID so it can no longer be nicknamed, but what about changing the ball? Are there any downsides to that?

I downloaded a few wondercards events, but the species name is in english and the JPN doesn't appear at the top of the summary.

Now, I know there's a code to change it to US/UK/JP but it doesn't seem to work, any ideas?

First off, nice dubs. Second, I'm going to use it more for hidden powers I want, with the most ideal stats. Its not that hard to get perfect IVs on, with good pokemon, but 29/30 are harder, even with a genned ditto

You used to have to throw pokemon on the bank to clone them, but now you can clone pokemon without it. As long as it's in the first box, first slot, you can clone it through the 6th slot in the first box. It takes less time then banking and you can keep the items the pokemon are holding. You can also clone entire boxes

Okay, I heard powersaves users can change the OT and everything of a Pokémon? I let someone else use my PokéBank and they got the Celebi for me and now I can never nickname it. This irks me to no end. Can anyone fix it. I'm going to bed for now but I'll be checking in the morning.

Could someone help a newfag out?

I'm not in the posession of any gen devices but I have a lot of codes on my r4 card that can basically do the same (change IV's, shinify, nickname, give evs etc)

I've traded myself a couple of mons' ranging from slightly altered to altered a lot (for example one of the codes is encountering every mon as shiny) I can transfer them to a legit gen 5 game and then up to gen 6 just perfectly. However whenever I try to battle with them online a message saying "There appears to be a problem, the battle will be canceled" will appear. Could someone with some knowledge of how this works explain to me how this works and why they do pass but aren't usable?

I got a shiny skeptile from one of the /vp/ trafes a while ago which has the same problem.

I'd like to do some future giveaways or help out with genning but i don't want to give out pokemon that can't be used.

I traded a Contrary Snivy just fine, but I couldn't battle with it or trade it at all. It's probably the hack check, especially if you can't trade it either.

PokéBank has no filter at all, only PokéTransporter will reject the most obvious hacks.
Once you get them ingame is another story, since the game itself, more specifically, WiFi and online services, has yet another filter. This one is arguably better since it stops unreleased abilities, items and pokemon (Contrary, Soul Dew, Hoopa, to say one of each)
