The lone exception was Samus, Mike's Blaziken. Battered as she was, the fire chicken stood defiant against the opposing trainer. Wrists flaring up, the message was clear: No way would she be the first to fall!
The onrushing flames left the Blaziken unfazed; other kinds of attacks would work, just not fire. The Moltres was about to find out just how bad a call that was; a Thunderpunch was aimed squarely at it. Fighting on with sheer determination was taking its toll; Samus couldn't put nearly as much power into her attack as she would've liked. Accuracy would be critical here...
