The closest we have right now is that /vp/ixelmon server.
WiiU sales would increase dramatically if GF were to take whatever they did for Colusseum/XD, add multi-player to dedicated "Regions" (Or servers, as we'd call them), and ship it like that. Never mind the added potential of spending PK$ to dress your character up, Online Event Tournaments where the winner gets the secret legendary, etc.
It's almost as if GF don't want money.
