What is going to be like the story mode in Pokken Fighters?

If it's anything like most fighting games probably. Usually there're some utscene or story stuff at the beginning, a special rival fight or something and probably a cutscene after beating the final boss. Just a guess though, they may change it up a bit.

Makes sense. Because GameFreak says a gen 1 pokemon HAS to be the final boss. I'd be surprised if it was not charizard X/Y as the final boss but then I'd be even more so if charizard was not a playable character and also surprised that charizard was not the leading pokemon shown in the trailer rather than lucario.

Here's the story.

An army of Gale Wings Talonflames have invaded the village of the Fighting-Type pokemon and have one main goal: sweep the entire race.

The evil fairies want to take the world beating all the fighting types, there's also an inner conflict between fighting type Pokemon that will eventually collaborate and defeat the fairy waifu team that will understand that invading and destroying fighting Pokemon is wrong. Final scene will be a bunch of sweaty bara mating with feminine fairies Pokemon in a massive orgy.
