Buizel, Vespiquen, Weavile, Chingling, etc. The music was good, even if that other guy can't recognize it. The layout of the region is, while not perfect, hella better than Unova or Kalos. The villain isn't some hippie who monologues at you. The size and accessibility of Mt. Coronet makes the entire region feel more cohesive and meaningful, as opposed to, say, Kanto, which is centered around Saffron City and not much else.
It had plenty of flaws, and you ain't gotta like it, but there is plenty to say to defend it.
