>>20713339Can't say I agree with the "less Pokemon = better quality" argument. I don't think the quality of a generation's Pokemon should be measured by numbers. My issue with X and Y is that there were simply not enough Pokemon. We should have gotten at least 100+. Instead we got 70. There are 450 different Pokemon in Kalos and 380 of them are older Pokemon. I don't think I have to point out huge imbalance there. Since all of those new Pokemon were surrounded and outnumbered by the older ones, Kalos did not really feel like a new region to me. There are good Kalos Pokemon but there just weren't enough Kalos Pokemon overall, regardless of design.
With B/W on the other hand, I had no issues making a team, because I just liked the designs as a whole and the large number meant I had many options.
