Dual typing against dual typing would just confuse all but the hard core

Restricting the second held item to a berry might make for an interesting metagame. Given how hard Game Freak tries to push them, being able to hold one berry and one item seems like a possible change for Gen VII

Reading it as "all of the abilities available to Pokemon with Pokedex number XYZ are always active for all instances of that Pokemon" would get around that. Charizard, Mega Charizard X, and Mega Charizard Y would always have Blaze, Solar Power, Tough Claws, and Drought.
Aerodactyl would get Pressure, Rock Head, and Tough Claws, which would be great if it ever got Head Smash.

It always baffles me that when this "Pokemon can have all their abilities at the same time" conversations comes up, people always slap four abilities to Mega Evolutions. Megas are not the same Pokemon, they only have possibility for one ability. Regular Pinsir can have Hyper Cutter, Moxie, and Mold Breaker, whereas Mega Pinsir can only have Aerilate. If Pokemon could have all their abilities at the same time, why would M-Pinsir get regular Pinsir's abilities when it has no access to them? Seriously guys, don't be so retarded.

That being said, we'd still have lots of nightmare fuel, including:

Only one change: Pokemon don't have any limit to the amount of moves they can carry. In other words, Pokemon always carry all the moves they can learn. How would this change the metagame? What would be the absolute nastiest thing to face? Are there some Pokemon that would suddenly become viable because they could run everything they need but previously couldn't?

Smeargle, Mew, and Arceus would be the unholy trinity due to learning every move in Smeargle's case, all TMs and Tutor moves in Mew's case, and pretty much a LOT of stuff in Arceus's case.

Fire type equivalent to toxic spikes which cause burns on switch ins, only one layer though since you only have one type of burn.
Only way to get rid of them are conventional hazard clearing or switch a fire type in to absorb.

i had a couple ideas, such as pokemon that have mega evolved are able to mega evolve again into a higher evolution, or we get more ev points to work with or moves that can hit all party members, even one that are not on the field so a pokemon could use an electric type attack, and every single enemy pokemon gets paralyzed, but perhaps the simplest thing i could think off was to give Whimsicott spore.
