So you could take your Blaziken up against against Poliwrath, but you'd have to be wary of those incoming water specials and not rely on your own specials.
Kinda like DBZ:TB3 if each character had a type, and the 4 beams/rushes + ultimate had types. Then it wouldn't ruin matchups, but still give the edge to the obvious type winner.
