I pulled a Full Art Battle Reporter in a online Furious Fists pack, which I was pretty glad about.

Personally I think it's a pretty good card, since it's draw power, but whatever. Glad I finally got something out of Furious Fists.

Have you not seen them before? There's like 5 of them out. PBL, PLS, and both X and Y all had one.

It's something like 8/10 packs, tons of bulk energy, acrylic status markers, a set of like 10 mini dice and a regular die, some really good quality card sleeves, and a bunch of dividers for organizing your cards

They're randomized more than boxes like blisters so on a technicality you could get more than 1 full art per elite trainer box/fat pack. Once you hit the SR in a box at locals you always want to wait until they open a new box.

So it's like better and worse in some instances, since like blisters, you could go through 50 elite trainer boxes/fat packs and never get even an EX.

No flashfire one, that's why we were so excited about phantom forces getting one. Usually it's like every other set or 2 per year or something like that.

It's possible. The free theme decks give you a lot of important trainer cards and a couple of useful pokemon. You get 45 free booster packs of random sets for 100% completion of the single player campaign. Doing the ranked games nets around 3 booster packs for a couple of hours of playing from the end-game bonus wheel and tokens. If you save your tokens for 2 Resilient Life theme decks from XY, that could be the start of a solid fairy deck.

I've done it myself. Started at the bottom, got 2 Ho-Oh EX from free boosters and built an anti-meta deck around them.

With that deck I did alright in tournaments, getting enough tradable booster packs to build a Yveltal/Garbodor deck. Then I used that behemoth to win a shitload of packs and build every other deck I wanted.

I'm currently sitting on 100+ tradable booster packs. Haven't spent a cent.

Slurpuff is good too. Playing it and seeing people waste lasers is always hilarious.

Personally, having a situation where you can't use special conditions might be good, you can just discard the special condition cards and not worry about other stuff

Laser is the only reason I still run Slurpuff in my mono fairy, there isn't enough status to make it worth it otherwise atm but Laser is just so common that I need to run a 2-1 with evosoda (I run evosoda already for Spritzee) and it annoys me that those slots are used up avoiding lasers.

I run 1-1 in my Aroma/Kanga deck, and yeah, I also run Evosoda.

Slurpuff is just a safety check, if my opponent runs special conditions one gets benched as soon as I can. If not, I can use it for discarding, or just keep it in my deck, which is nice.

That card is colourless in your hand, deck and discard pile, but when attached to a pokemon it can be any kind of energy (instead of a fire energy which gives fire or colorless, Rainbow energy gives fire or water or electric or grass or psychic or fighting or steel or dark or fairy or colorless), but only one of them at a time.

So if you have a pokemon with a move that has WWF as its energy cost, you would normally need WWF, but with Rainbow energy you could have WWR or WRF, or RRR for that matter. However, to offset this it is a special energy (so it can't be fetched with Professor's letter for example) and it deals damage.

I can afford to run a 2-1 because I run mono fairy, I run it with 4 evosodas, 3 ultra balls, a super rod and a Pokemon Fan Club so I can reliably get it out if I need it. Just frustrates me, I would rather have special conditions be something that pokemon do (hell, I thought it used to be grass and electrics niche to paralyze shit and control the board that way), not something that is an item that gets slotted into any deck with room for it.

Yeah, once Hypnotoxic Laser gets rotated out I feel like that might be less of a problem for play in general, but it'll hurt a lot of decks as well.

I used to run PFC myself, but I changed it up to add in one more Muscle Band + 1 Battle Reporter. I might replace the Band with a new PFC, but I never used it often so I'm fine with it.

Personally, I've been thinking about running Super Scoop Up / Cassius, just one of them, to be able to throw things back into my deck. If I don't want to make Jirachi an easy 2 prize target, I can just throw it back into my deck. I'm considering that, I don't know if I should or not.

Both cards have their issues. Cassius uses up your 1 Supporter per turn while SSU is flippy and affected by Seismitoad EX.

That's a good point, and that's what I considered, since it used up a supporter slot. However, if I fear it might get picked off, then it might be a good idea to get out. It could also be good if something I don't want to lead with takes up bench space (I run Druddigon for old Dragon EX's) so I can get rid of it and get an Aromatisse / Victini / something else into play.

Really, most people use Sigilyph as leads, not something to build a deck behind.

If you want to counter EX's, Pyroar's probably better. Counters Basics, too. Pyroar decks aren't too terribly uncommon these days.

That depends on where you look, most Targets STILL have Reshiram/Zekrom boxes in stock and most of their "cheap" distributor-produced 2-3 pack value products are stuffed with 'em.

Do you mean BLW or the BW block in general?

If it's the former, Not much. A lot of the cards in that set have been reprinted (the only decent card from set that hasn't been reprinted as a SR or in LTR is Foul Play Zoroark). If it's the latter, focus on buying anything that's BCR-on (remember that DRV will not be legal in the new 2014-2015 Modified format).

I am going tru the single player AIs, you guys told me to 4 star all of them to grab some free booster but every AI ass needs to be kicked like 6 times before I can 4 star them and that's TERRIBLY boring, also because I have to use premade decks so I cant even test out my own ones...
is there a way to speed up the "farm" ?
also it seems that the card infos aren't in the client itself but you download them as you meet someone with said cards
since my internet is beyond terrible it can be a problem for me so I wanna know, are "already meet" cards saved somewhere once for good the first time you see them?

cmon, there are like 30 of them (so almost 200 damn matches), they use the same deck over and over and they are programmed so bad that half the time they just pump all the energies on a bench pokemon that they never even use
it is the quintessential kind of boredom

1. Disable all animations from the options

2. Play on hardest setting, do much damage as you can, play down as many evolutions, attach as much energy and draw as much as possible (without decking out, of course) to maximize your score every game.

3. Take advantage of the stupid AI. If they have something harmless stuck active and you have a slow setup, don't knock their active out until you have something strong powered up of your own - the AI won't switch out.

4. DON'T USE BLUE DECK. It's garbage even with type advantage. It's only good if you get Milotic out fast, but that doesn't happen often enough because the entire deck has no proper search at all.

5.Use Red deck, it has best damage, items and supporters out of the 3.

6. Green is also okay, use it when Red has a bad matchup.

7. DON'T finish 4th stars yet, just grind to 3 for now. Wait until the next patch at the beginning of September before you finish - otherwise you end up with a lot of cards that rotate out before you can even play them once.

Even with all that it takes like 8 hours to get 4 stars in all, though.

I'm sort of glad there's going to be multiple M-Gengar if there's gonna be spirit links for specific Pokemon

this card is pretty decent. 130 HP is shit for an EX but being a fighting type that isnt weak to psychic is big. Throw in muscle band, strong energy, and fighting stadium and that attack goes from 100 for three to 160 to EX. Add a Laser or a second strong energy and you hit that magic number of 180 damage.

Depends entirely on if we get a Spirit Link for this as we did for Gengar. Seems to be more of a support mega, shame it's unusable because of the fighting weakness

I want to like this card so much, but stage 2s that are weak to dark are going nowhere right now. Which is a shame as it's got a great ability alongside one of my favorite types of attacks.

Bit of a clunky name that's probably going to be called summet a bit different over in the english printing. It's a really good idea - a disruption tool that only works on enemy EXes that stops them having Muscle Band or Float Stone. Works great against stuff like Landorus-EX who now can't get a float stone for his XBOXHEUG retreat, and can't Hammerhead T1.

Sounds pretty interesting, actually. Wonder how it'll play out.

Chandelure looks pretty interesting, and Manectric looks decent enough.

Wonder what other EX's we'll see. Maybe they'll throw in a Diancie EX? I'm assuming it might be there due to the pack art featuring it, but it could very well just be a holo rare.

This set's looking interesting so far, so I'm excited.

Yeah, I know how you feel. First time around when I got into playing the TCG it was pretty fun, even if I used shitty Deck Wizard decks.

Honestly, the only reason I started playing the game at all is because when I went to my Flashfire pre-release, I realized how easy the game was after people were explaining it to me.

The game's hard as shit to understand but it's fun once you do understand.

Aegislash (shield) +Aegislash(Buster)
Greninja (from froakie deck)
and Lightning Energy (from the bonus wheel)

For 3 max potions. Each line break a different trade.
Just toss some misc jank up in the global trade and see if you get some. Remember. Kids love edgy shit like Aegislash and Greninja.

My favorite part about having a little brother is that he doesn't actually play the game, so he gives me all his "worthless" trainer cards from packs he buys. Still have yet to get into the TCGO thing, though. How demanding is it, connection-wise? My internet is virtually nonexistent.
