Pachirisu's there to keep the Electric attacks off of its partner.
Sceptile's going to prevent its partner from getting an Electric attack across the field in the first place.

If anything you're helping it.

Presumably he meant that it redirects and absorbs the nuzzles? M-Sceptile still wouldn't exactly be the best Pachirisu counter though.
tbh since Volt Absorb doesn't redirect, it's still very hard to use it effectively to defend the likes of Talonflame or Gyarados, I imagine most players will end up just sucking with it anyway.

It would work with the Nuzzles, yeah. But it's like adding a Pachirisu to your opponent's side for free, if you end up needing Thunderbolt.

Yes Sceptile's going to be good, but implying its purpose is to crush Pachirisu teams is stupid.
Use it against teams that will actually suffer from Discharge.

Salamence doesn't meet expectations
Altaria and Slowbro will be good for stall
Lopunny will be the sleeper hit
Audino and Swampert will only be good for doubles

yes, because everyone was carrying Mega Mawile, which is one of the best Mega Kanga's counter.

Mega Audino however won't counter neither of them, it's just a good support pokemon.
