Devils are an endangered species, dying to a form of cancer which gives huge tumors on its body. The lumps were to make it look more like it's sort of dying, in a way. Neither of these projects, unlike GF, have structures behind them equipped to defend intellectual property rights. This sort of factionalism won't get either of us anywhere. Of course, it helps to avoid taking designs from Sage, but it's ultimately best just to completely ignore each other.

I use Photoshop and Sai, depending on what I'm going for. They're on piratebay .You're probably gonna need a tablet too, but those can be pretty cheap (I survived with a $19 one for a few years)

But absolutely, an iPad can work. If you've got a few dollars on hand I'd recommend Procreate. I use that on my mini when I'm away from the computer.

It looks neat because it's literally just that neat looking bird with a bolt pattern, maybe make it a little less just my mom's bird by designing the shit on its head into something resembling a lighting bolt or other electricity related thing (magnet or something from a circuit diagram).

It's normal because it's mundane, see Smeargle.
I really like this, much better than the sheet ghost normal/ghost type which seemed a bit like ...just a ghost.
Also please, that face is the best part about it. Reminds me of Rakugakids if anyone remembers that.

I like it. Miles better than most or any of the previous designs as it has more going for it than "its tail is a surf board".
I think maybe you've gone a bit overboard with the lining coming out for a second evo and I'm not particularly fond of the bit on its tail since it deludes the iconic shape.
Thinking about what pattern the lining could follow if you know what I mean (like the scarf theme for froakie).

I have a suggestion. do you like it?
It starts of with a small typical ghost.
By typical i mean, the kind kids dress up as when its halloween, you know a white blanket, with 2 large holes for the eyes, which are just plain dark blue/black colored.
It has no arms, and from under the blanket you can see 2 dark feet with 3 pointy toes.
It has a smile on its face which looks like stitches.
It is normal/dark type. Ability prankster.
Known for scaring other pokemon and stealing their berries, this pokemon loves to play pranks on others.

The second stage has arms added, with 3 large fingers and its no longer smiling,
its larger aswell, typing, normal/dark
Other pokemon avoid it, it is said to be cursed after stealing from a burial site.

The 3rd stage is a floating form of the previous stage without legs, the eyes are now hollow. Its mouth is open but appears to be melting/torn
underneath it is a shadowy circle, that has 2 dark mean looking eyes.
Typing, normal/ghost, ability levitate.
This pokemon is said to bring misfortune upon anyone who sees it.
It is a rare sight however.

It is a slow pokemon with high HP, atk and good other stats.
Personally id like it as a psuedo, or semi psuedo.

The underlying thought it basically that it was a childlike pokemon that did pranks, and crossed the line several times, eventually it became cursed, abandoned and feared, eventually dying and becomming a corrupted soul in its final stage.

You guys, I think we should really consider this. It would be very a interesting and fresh change of pace. Since we're talking about starters, it would also give us a chance to flesh out some animal/beast-like designs from three types that generally don't really produce that many fauna-based designs. Plus, some interesting type combos? Fairy/Ghost, Steel/Poison, Fighting/Ground etc.

I think our starters should be pure Grass, pure Fire and pure Water ala Johto. I feel if we can make them useful while retaining their purity, as well as have strong designs, they could be great. Plus the Starters are supposed to be the epitome of their type, the first ones you think of when you're given "Grass" or "Water", so I think pure types would fit.

A small Rock like pokemon with stubby feet, large eyes and some very small gems in its body.
Pure rock type.

3rd stage.
Rock/poison
Various gems on its body are now a nuclear green/yellow parts and the rest of its body is much darker, dark brown black, as if burned.
It shines a green aura/yellow aura, which is supposed to resemble radiation.
Basically its a nuclear rock pokemon.
Could also be steel/poison, since its nuclear metals.

Problem with the Black swan idea is that we already have the Grass/Flying starter unless we scrap that one and move it further into the dex and keep the swan, or make the swan something other than a Flying type. Im the original creator of the idea here, let me tell you what my idea was.

It was quite a big floating blanket, much like grimer/muk but white, and ghostly, the mouth was somewhat alike, but it dripped something.
the eyes were not coloured black, but just black circles.
And underneath its floating design, was a round flat dark circle with white mean eyes.

Its arms were also more muk style, but white.

I however did like your versions andinterpetations alot.

A small mosquito like pokemon, large cartoony eyes, instead of a stinger mouth, theres a large icecle.

second stage, larger form, instead of a stinger it now has sabre tooth icecles

Overal based on speed/attack, glass cannon.
Should at least get one good life stealing attack.

ok im gonna list some ideas for mons that are found in aus that I think would work well because they are not cliché kanga or koala ideas. I know most of my fellow ausfags are asleep but hopefully theres a draw fag out there

first idea is the tailed emperor caterpillar, it does turn into a butterfly but if it satys as a caterpillar it could be a good dragon/bug by the look of it, I will post the egg and butterfly forms just incase though

well even if we don't wanna use that caterpillar(I think the butterfly is perfect) this is another form of that caterpillar with the coulouring already done, just maybe make the white lines into dots and it has an awesome aboriginal pattern

Rainbow Snake seems a given, and someone posted ground/fairy. I'd prefer ice/dragon, since ice and auroras have rainbow features (and I seem to be in the minority of people that don't think fairy typing is feasible). Water/anything works too, since I'm fairly certain Mindi, the rainbow snake of Wurundjeri tradition/religion, lived in watering holes.

I did draw this Rainbow serpent based on rainclouds and prisms refracting light into rainbows, which kind of has an ice feel while still being water. I just don't know how many people saw it since I made it pretty much right before the project originally died.
