Because 4chan in general hates popular things and charizard is popular. They'll try to justify it by saying it's pandering and a ton of other buzzwords they were programmed to spew but at the end of the day it's because it's popular.

a lot of people just hate the special treatment it recieves. i don't hate it or like it any more than blastoise...but it recieves all the attention and blastoise doesn't. there are 721 pokemon and with the exception of version mascot legendaries and pikachu it's pretty dumb when gamefreak decides to make one of them seem more important than the others.

Charizard got popular because all the kiddies liked it, same with Mewtwo

The difference is Lucario on the other hand was shoved down everyone's throats since day one and wasn't liked by everyone.

Two main reasons. The first is that because it is the signature Pokemon of Genwunners, who are the most cancerous members of the Pokemon fandom yes even more so than Goodrafags.
The second is that it has so much exposure. It's been the mascot of 2 games, the only non-legendary with 2 megas, hijacked Origins, got his own slot in Smash 4, the list goes on.
He's actually my favourite, but even I think they've went too far now.

Hipsters can't deal with the fact that Charizard is, and always has been, the most well-known and popular box-mascot, starter, and overall Pokemon (excluding Pikachu, possibly). As much as they want Darkrai to be the archetypal Pokemon, it or any other will never equal up to Zard.

Very few people hate Charizard - but everyone (including massive Charizard fags like me who pick it in everything) is getting tired of seeing it receive special attention from Gamefreak purely because of its popularity. For example: getting two mega evolutions despite the other Gen I starters only getting 1, and Mega Charizard X popping up in Origins/the new anime series/Smash Bros.

It's a fucking awesome Pokemon, but it's still just any other Pokemon amongst hundreds at the end of the day.

Nope. Y mega is way better in VGC, which is the official format, to the point where you only use Xzard to catch people unawares sometimes because it's pretty bad otherwise, comparatively. XZard is better in Singles, though, but YZard's pretty good there, too.
