Additional stick,increased power,throwbacks to their older consoles and customizable masks all point to the idea that this model is designed with "hardcore gamers" in mind,especially when taken in conjecture with Iwata's recent statements.
This means that Pokemon,which is one of the core nintendo series aimed at children/family market,will be available for family/children-oriented 3DS/2DS models. Besides Gamefreak can't use even the current 3DS abilities and they probably won't change the engine,but rather improve upon it,just like they did with their DS titles. It is MonHun,SMT and ports you should be worried about.
