The slowpoke and kurt were the two things that have made azalea town my favorite place in pokemon. I would spend hours there as a child, just repeatedly talking to the slowpoke and dropping off apricorns and collecting my new pokeballs.

I noticed this in the XY games with Gengar and Hoopa. Their eyes are clearly not fully open and yet the pupils are still inside the eyes for animations. Have you seen what their faiting animations look like?

Yeah, it's weird and distracting. The official art and game sprites have no visible eyebrows except for maybe just barely peeking out from under the shell.
