I always loved Ranger. The third is my favorite. For a challenge, try for all the S ranks. Trust me, it's harder than it sounds, but only because for both 2 and 3, there are some pokemon that you either won't get the chance to capture again, or it's complicated to try for it again if you can. 2 gives you saves that are close to a lot of those pokes, and for the ones unlocked by quests, you can save before attempting them anyway. 3 makes it really a chore if you want to soft reset specific encounters so you can S rank them. I do it merely for the matter that it's easier than attempting the past mission by myself. The only exception I'll make is for the first past mission, as I'm not even sure Skuntank's original encounter CAN be S ranked. The others, I just find the closest save point I can and keep at it until I get it.
