If Ash actually wins a real championship, where does the show go from there? By becoming a league champion, he is effectively a pokemon master and has nothing left to accomplish.

The show would still be vastly improved by rebooting with a new protag but we all know that's never going to fucking happen

When I was a kid during Generation One, I actually thought Ash would eventually catch every Pokemon in the cartoon series. Now with over 700 and growing, I know he never will.

Pokémon Master has a very vague definition though. Elite Four members are considered masters of their type, and you get master breeders and so on. I think becoming a league champion instantly makes you a master, as would completing the Pokédex...

Or much more likely, whoever made this up didn't really think it through.
