Depends. Does your scolipede have rock slide? If yes, do that, if not use a sub since an opponent's rock slide (atleast against the spread that the showdown dmg calculator is suggesting) will usually do less than 75% with an adamant nature + life orb

Also, try baton passing after the opponent so your recipient can counter his.

I recently got two pokemon over the GTS that i'm really happy about, but don't think i have enough room to fit both on my team. Which one should i train?

I'm pretty good when it comes to physical attackers, but i've had a pretty glaring weakness to flying-type attacks on my team so Scizor would at least be one answer.

on the other side, i could definitely use another staller on my team, the main problem being that the 2 stallers that i occasionally rotate into my team - M-Venusaur and Whimsicott - are also grass type. I like the potential that Trevenant has, but i'm feeling pretty good w/ the grass-types i currently have and i definitely wouldnt feel good having all 3 on my team at once.

Talon memes on this too hard, you need a resist in there desperately since you can't really rely on dnite multiscale or kang fake out. Maero could help towards your case there but it won't fix your problem totally. The problem is that msciz won't fix that at all. Also your evs are really dumb, shoulda speed creep and not go 252/252 on everything offensive.

my Weezing has been a pretty solid Talonflame (and MegaMilf, for that matter) counter. Problem is, i just can't bring it at all if i see any significant Special Attacker threat on my opponent's team, so it's gotten to the point where i end up bringing it, like, 1 out of 10 times.

Usage put it down there, but it being difficult to utilize anywhere other than late game kept it in check. Without an SD it's merely good, but setting up is pretty difficult in UU since so much stuff can force it out depending on its set.

If you lead with Toed / Kingdra, you'll get it straight away.

If say kingdra is facing zard and your partner is ludicolo, zard will move before kingdra even if you switch ludicolo out for politoed.

Magnezone is cool as fuck because it gets rid of stuff so offensive mons like OTR Bronzong, Sub agility petaya Empoleon, Luke or Scizor can sweep. it's a better strategy for monotype imo

Sleep clause still comes from times where a sleep and a ko were almost the same and games turned into gengar face-offs.
Sleep gives you free turns with practically no downside and is so much more spammable than in doubles. Scarf breloom isn't the problem here at all, it's just that there are no real counters to sleepspam in general.

It beats things like Skarm, Ferro, Gliscor, Lando T, Hippo, a lot of things that'd prevent Terrakion from sweeping. 120 HP evs make it so that scarfchomp has only a small chance of ohkoing with outrage, while still ensuring the 2hko on landorus with draco + SE.

Can someone explain Excadrill to me? I know he's super high on the usage list but I've had much more success with Donphan as a spinner.

Steel type gives him huge weaknesses to the most common offensive types in the game, his bulk is absolute garbage, he can't outspeed anything without Sand, and his offensive movepool is ass.

Assault Vest barely makes a difference when his biggest weaknesses are physical. Can't even run a Focus Sash set because his sole purpose (removing rocks) breaks sash. Air Balloon is temporary and only guards against one weakness. Are Scarf sets the only things that are viable with him?

Am I missing something here? Donphan, Starmie, Mega-Blastoise, even Forretress are better spinning options than him. Why the hell is he so popular?

But seriously, it outspeeds and hits Rotom-W with a STAB EQ and has great offensive presence for a spinner. It has the ability to boost too which is nice. You should be very worried if you see it on an OU sand team, because it WILL push your shit in if not handled properly, No other spinner can tango with the tier as well as Excadrill. Donphan and Forry grind momentum to a screeching halt, and Blastoise occupies the covetd mega slot. Starmie is decent on some teams, but generally useless compared to Excadrill.

I mean, I've seen Donphan tank a +1 M-Charizard X's Dragon Claw and OHKO back with EQ. He has a built in Sash, Ice priority, great physical bulk.

Excadrill's offensive movepool is EQ, Iron Head, Rock Slide, and X-Scissor. That's pretty bad. Plus he gets OHKO's by any Fightin/Fire/Ground/Water. His Speed is mediocre.

Am I just a retard for trying to run him as a Utility Spinner outside of Sand? I think that might be my problem. If I'm not running a Mega is Blastoise worth a look?

Donphan isn't good in OU unless you're so bad at teambuilding that you absolutely require Sturdy to get the job done.

Blastoise is bad in OU since it inadvertently cripples your team thanks to the lack of another mega stone, and base Blastoise is just bad.

If you want to keeps rocks off the field on a HO team, use Latios with defog. A stall team? Skarmory. A bulky offense or HO team that has a sweeper that's crippled by status? Healing Wish + Defog Latias.

I'm not switching him into anything since his bulk is dog shit. But 88 SPE isn't good at all, and what he does outspeed has priority or is usually Scarfed (like Rotom-W).

I think I'm just going to use something else, I'm running a balanced team and he can't do anything except get OHKO'd by anything with decent coverage.

Lower Manectrics speed a little bit, enough to outspeed Garchomp before mega evolving and put the rest into HP

CB Scizor isn't great in VGC because no tutors, ZardY, Rotom-H and Talonflame, all of which are pokemon which Scizor struggles against

If Machamp can learn Rock Slide, teach it over Stone Edge

You might want to run Scarf on Salamence so it can outspeed base 100s and nuke them with Draco Meteor, you can run Modest but you'll need to look into speed tiers to find what you want to specifically outspeed

Make Amoonguss Sassy with 0 Speed IVs, it's a lazy but effective Trick Room check
Mess around with calcs and see if it can survive Talonflames BB/Flare Blitz so it can redirect them without getting fucked over too badly

Drop Leftovers on Rotom and give it a Sitrus Berry
You might want to consider Rotom-Heat as Wash is slightly less viable now that Ludicolo has risen in usage and that ZardY is nearly everywhere and has Solarbeam all of the time

RotomH can wall Zard, hit Amoonguss and Mawile with Overheat and avoids burn chip damage

You just need to find out what your team is weaker to before deciding on what Rotom form you need

you should never have EVs in both attack and special attack. Choose one and fit the mon's moveset to that so you can have the negative of the nature be to the attack stat you're not using. Other than that looks pretty standard

That's not really true, mixed attackers often run EVs in both to get crucial KOs while still having the other attacks as powerful as possible. Like mixed LO Thundy would run Atk EVs to OHKO Latios with Knock off.

Sableye is fine even though I hate the little bastard.

I would get rid of Zen Headbutt in favor of Trick to cripple the walls that have gotten significantly better since Heracross left.

Nidoqueen, Blastoise, and Lucario especially are all good. If I could make a fundemental change to your team I might swap spikes for Tspikes since Heracross isn't around to punish the use of them and poison usage is still fairly low the last time I checked. The Nidos and Roserade may have seen a massive spike in usage though so you would need to make that decision after testing the waters.
