I've got a few Pokemon ideas:
>a Normal/Ground or Normal/Fire Red Panda Pokemon
>an Ogre (Ground/Dark), Troll (Rock/Dark), and Yeti (Ice/Dark) trio
>a Electric/Steel Metal Guitar Pokemon, with two signature items: a Guitar Pic that raises accuracy, and an Amp that raises the damage of sound-type moves

like pic related was a barrier reef mon i came up with
gender based 'royalty' sorta based on certain corals

back in old aus people liked it but said it might work better as just the sandcastle as a solo mon(castlereef)

understood, tbf i think sometimes certain mons should be simple, and grass/fire is a pretty basic concept IRL aha

Last thread there was this concept for the Water starter. Some people said the colors needed to be improved. Also the first stage needed work, said others.

in case you didn't see it yesterday, this is a brush tailed phascogale found in aus, there tail is described as looking like a bottle brush(aus plant found in red and yellow) which could be a cool design and is also described as looking like static hair which could work for the pikaclone

Friendly tip from someone at Sage: the worst thing ever did was say that EVERYTHING needed to be settled democratically and didn't either have a single leader and/or have mini-councils for big things (mapping, plot, etc.) that are filled with people knowledgeable about said topic to decide everything among themselves. There's a reason why we're two years in and don't have a plot yet.

Head is kinda shaped like a classic magnet, except the prongs don't stick out too far, with his eyes at the end of the two prongs and his mouth in the crevice. I always had this idea for the trio to be weather dragons. Their weather wreak havoc in the surrounding areas and nearby towns, as sub plot roadblocks you need to solve and such.

Yeah, maybe colours will fix that a bit. I'm an absolute hack when it comes to colouring though.
I actually went with them being levitating slabs of rock in this one. Would that be like a body floating or on that slab?

I read somewhere that you guys still want art, but that if someone could look into the older submissions and rework them, that would be appreciated.

I was always confused/not impressed by the coconut crabs, though many people seemed to like them. I put my own spin on it. The first stage is entirely reworked, shaped like a coconut, has simpler legs, and is missing a claw (instead has a ghostly puff). The final stage is very similar save for a few minor differences and the fact that it is still missing a claw.

Thoughts? If people like it, I'll clean them up and make digital art later. I'll add the original as well (a screenshot on my phone).

This isn't as easy as you think. You have to catch twenty-six Pokemon and fuse them to get just one species. And the fusion brings up even more questions, like if one of them is a Shiny, how the final form's IVs are calculated, how the Effort Values of each of the mons will be calculated, what Ability it would have, its moveset, etc.

This idea is unique but so needlessly complicated. You don't see Sage doing this. Let's keep it simple, like they do.

The middle evo having signs of getting six arms then the final evo not following through is very gamefreak design-wise (Wartortle being a fluffy-tailed fuck, Croconaw being a caveman, and so on)

The final evo's feet and legs do need some work, though. Maybe make them more similar to the middle evo's?

You need to tone down the first stage a lot. Look at the Kalos starters, Oshawott, Chimchar. They look a bit like their final evo, but the theme they're following starts showing only after the 2nd stage. Though you have to be careful not to make it look too much like Ducklett/Spritzee.

Concept: Basically, a shy looking sloth pokemon that has small bits of foliage and moss grow on it's fur (sloths can have moss grow on them). It has flowers/daisies growing out of "hair" on it's head. The "hair" is like a bush and will have tiny branches growing out of it, but, not a ton.

Okay, I just came across this thread, and I would like to give some ideas from when I was working on my own fakedex, but stopped. My drawing skills are so lame, but the ideas can stay, I guess!
Here are some:

-A flying/grass leaf-bird mon that can evolve to a bird (f, normal/flying) or a leaf monster (m, grass). The trick is: both of them can evolve in some kind of majestic tree-bird, whatever gender they are. (This would be a rare case of 2 different mons evolving into a same form).
-An imp-inspired mon (dark) who can evolve to seven different pokemon, each based on one of the deadly sins. Their types would differ (gluttony: poison/dark, envy ice/dark, Wrath: fighting/dark, lust fairy/dark, etc...) and the evolution conditions could depend on the pokémon's psychology and his interaction with the other pokémon.
-An ice lion pokémon, which would take two forms: the female one has higher attack and speed while the male form has higher special attack and defenses. They could both evolve from a smaller feline mon. (I chose Ice because it looked cool, but the concept could be adapted to any type, as long as you can find a special and a physical movesets for such a pokémon)
-A bunch of "classic-looking" pokémon who can evolve normally or take an alternative form when evolving ig the trainer has another of these in his team. For example, a thin spider (bug) pokémon could evolve to a green spider (bug/poison), but could instead become a big black (but still thin) dark/bug spider if the trainer has the dark-type pokemon of the set. It's only a concept, but I did a spider, a rock-ball, a water shell and a kind of sound worm, who could evolve into different types if they were present at each other's evolution. (I was very young, yo none of the pokémon are very original, but concept can be reused for something else!) (Note that none of the evolutions are "stronger" than the "non-assisted" one. They are just different and demand hard work to have them all.

-A yin/yang killerwhale that would be very white with a bit of black or very black with a bit of white. It would be water type (water/dark for yin?) and evolve every 2 levels into the other form. It would be an unstopable evolution (unless you hold that stone...), until the level 80+, where you can choose which one you prefer. One of them could be very attack strong, while the other one would be more a kind of tank, maybe?

Give it some mega-Swampert/Conkeldurr front heavy proportions. So it looks like the front side is bearing the load of the canon. Making it back-heavy makes it look like it is awkwardly squatting when it wants to fire.
