Except the God Stone could only be gotten through hacking. Strange Souveineer is given with NPC dialogue suggesting it may have some use in the future.

Also, the God Stone was ONLY in BW, it was outright removed in B2W2, meaning that any plans for it were dropped very very early on.

Maybe it will be a way to get people to keep buying X and Y after the release of another game, maybe oras or the XY sequel. They'll implement some way for your DS online account thingy to recognize if you have obtained this item in X and Y and if you have it allows access to extra content in the new game.
