What made Blissey less viable this gen anyway?
Eviolite existed in B/W yet Chansey wasn't as common as Blissey.

Electivire I'll admit was pretty garbage the entire time yet somehow stayed OU for the entirety of DPPHGSS thanks to idiots who seemed to think that GyaraVire was the be all end all of synergy.

It is questionable. One side explosion was a foolproof move that could make passive pokemons a time bomb and wipe out most mons, only some steels, rocks and ghosts could face an explosion. On the other side explosion served as an emergency button to rid a boosted mon off or weaken a troublesome wall. I would say the nerf was pretty innecessary.

No, really, that's literally the reason why. Being able to negate Weather damage with Leftovers was the only thing keeping Blissey ahead of Chansey in Gen V.
Note that in Gen V Ubers, where Groudon and Kyogre dominated every other weather inducer, Chansey was the superior blob because Sand was nonexistent and Hail was still Hail.
