Did this Gen even have any fucking Rivals? Like, an ACTUAL one? Sorry, but Brendan/May seriously don't fucking count, they quit their journey before even fully evolving their starter, and Wally is barely in the games.

I don't mind her. People hate her because she slowed the pace of the game with more text and a sub-plot not many people cared about, especially because battle-wise, she was basically a non-rival, who shows up to battle you anyway.
However, I did like her, and her Sub-Plot. People who complain about too much text and story need to remember that they're playing an RPG series.

In all seriousness though, he wasn't too bad. I liked having a Rival that didn't wan't to do the typical Dex Complete/Champion/[Insert Contest Replacement Goal Here] thing. After the events of B/W, it felt fitting.
