They just could have done so much more with it. Maybe white, or pale yellow, or just a different shade of its normal colouring. Something that actually looks like it would fit the species.

I.... I actually like this more than the original. The body shape alone is goofy as hell, so you might as well make yourself look like some sort of alien hindu donut instead of a really ugly red and blue cat volcano.

I'm... I'm sure they both look a little better with steam flowing out of the ring. I really hope steam comes out of the ring during combat, because otherwise it's just ugly as hell.
