>>20809097>>20809097My sister and I had 'rules' as well.
I chose Red, she got Blue.
Then I became "to cool" for Pokémon while she chose Gold. Then I caved and got Silver.
Then she chose Ruby. I wasn't interested. After she started playing, she convinced me to get Sapphire.
Then she became too cool for Pokémon.
After a massive time skip, I bought X on a whim. Couldn't convince her to buy Y, though. She's too busy being an adult. :-(
Besides getting opposite versions, we also had to use different Pokémon from each other, and all 6 had to come from the current gen. We kept to the same starter type as in gen 1. We also were only allowed one legendary on our teams in order to keep them fair. Gen 1 didn't follow these rules because I got it long before she did. I was also a stupid little kid.
