>>20815461Of course you /can/ be, and my current is considerably more different compared to myself than the last (that one fell out because of some nasty relationship politics, though, not lack of chemistry), but it sure as heck doesn't hurt unless you're on two opposing sides of the fandom (diehard elitefag vs karenfag, for example), but otherwise, it gives a great thing to bond over, /especially/ if you wanna act as the mentor and help guide them as they get better.
It's one of the coolest things to see someone you've trained up actually end up beating you one day. It's a mixed feeling because you lost to the person you were training, and yet you see just how much they grew. It's crazy. I don't have kids, but I wonder if it's a similar feeling.
