Anyone remember truing to link up to get better poke blocks in RSE? Or hooking up to a game cube to transfer pokemon to colosseum? Or the first time you used the wirelesses adapter with FrLg, and how it felt like the future?

none of my friends had a link cable except for one and he lost it, not only that but nobody (even adults at the time) knew where to get a new one, this was back when if you didnt have a eb in your town you were fucked, now you can just get one online

In the event that one game boy can't connect to another one (i.e. the cable is even slightly pulled out) the pokemon games will load a whole bunch of place holders. For what ever reason it choose blue pidegotto with a certain move set. Point is, nothing would have happened to your friend's game.
