And just to nitpick:
>ClefableGot Fairy type this gen
>DragoniteGot Multiscale last gen
>GyaradosGot a mega this gen
>VaporeonIsn't actually OU
>Zapdos, Gengar, ChanseyAlright: THREE pokemon that did not get a significant buff this gen or the last gen are still in OU
And of course, I'm not sure how someone can go look at Mega Mom, Gengar, Luke, Blaziken, Mawile, Pinsir, X-zard, Medicham, Heracross, Gardevoir, and not think "gosh these things hit so goddamn hard like what the fuck."
You know who was one of the best sweepers in DPPt? Lucario. Well Lucario is UU now. This is how hard it hits:
252+ Atk Life Orb Lucario Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 141-166 (42.2 - 49.7%)
Hey that's not bad, neutral hit on something with 65/140 defenses having a chance to 2HKO after rocks.
252+ Atk Adaptability Mega Lucario Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Skarmory: 178-210 (53.2 - 62.8%)
It's just ~25% more damage right. Oh but it's also a bajillion times faster, too. And then you have Mega Medicham and Mawile who dwarf this damage output (Adamant Cham does minimum of 65.8%,) Mega Heracross, Gardevoir, Pinsir, X-zard and probably others who can match it, and Mega Gyarados and Tyranitar just dancing all over the place cause they're so goddamn bulky.
And then there's the non-megas, which, including last gen (not gonna mention the specs hydro pump in rain spam,) notably consist of:
>Keldeo (btw Secret Sword and Psyshock were introduced in gen 5, as was Shell Smash and Quiver Dance)>Terrakion>Fairy-Type Azumarill>Speed Boost Blaziken>Shadow Tag on not-Wobbuffet>Genies>Darmanitan, Haxorus, and Chandelure with fuckhuge offenses that aren't even goodBut hey a few gen 1 mons are still OU so I guess there's no fucking power creep right?
