Mental disorders usually affect a person's perception of reality, to the point where life becomes quasi-unliveable. If you're born with an XY chromosome, you will never, ever, EVER have an XX chromosome. To pretend like you do is a manifestation of mental illness, because it's a form of thinking out of sync with reality.
Therapy is supposed to help people become more in-line with reality and deal with their mental illness, except in this ONE case, which conveniently makes the pharmaceutical industry an assload of money.
Nobody has found the "trans gene" and they're likely never going to, because in all likelyhood, mental illness is a complex beast and people exhibit the same mentally ill behavior for different reasons. Until somebody finds the "trans gene," or an indisputable environmental cause for tranny-ism, it's safe to say it should be treated like any other form of delusion.
