It's not a common though, but they're perfectly fine and valid, unlike Special Rock (all of which rely on their secondary STAB for offense given that none of them learn Power Gem
except Corsola and Carbink).
Even Physical Ghost has made a decent niche for itself given access to priority and Phantom Force, which hits through Protect/Detect, though it still lacks a strong draw-back free move to abuse.
