5) Learn not to be so easily predicted, this is one that's hard to do and can be done either by showing your cards on the table and show that you're willing to throw them down even when it doesn't get the best possible solution, or hide your cards and keep you opponent on their toes because they don't know what you could be packing.
6) Talk to people you're playing with (if you're on showdown), discuss sets and ideas, ask people what they run on certain pokemon, this will help you predict later on and might even help you if you want to add that pokemon to your team.
