If you're running a defensive set with Cotton Guard and Rest you can stall out his Roosts, but the opponent could easily just switch into a special attacker and push Furfrou over like nothing since you gained no offensive momentum while a Talonflame set up in your face.
And you can be damn sure I would be playing cautiously with my special attackers if I saw a Furfrou on your team and showed any indication of being a Cotton Guard set.
