I like the idea of Cyber/Cosmic/Sound, because sure, if Fairy is a thing, then why not, but I'm really not sure what they'd be weak to/strong against.

As for Light, I'm unsure what would become that.

As for Sound, it's rather dumb. Of course there are sound-based moves and abilities, but some of them have distinct types, like metal sound or grass whistle. That's like asking for a separate "punch", "aura" or "bomb" type just because they're existing concepts.

Plus the normal type has already been diminished enough.

Only because one of the fairies was already linked to the "cosmic" theme and they decided to run with that. I doesn't really make any more sense than "fairies are normal", does it? There is nothing inherently cosmic about fairies anymore than there is something inherently psychic about outer space.

This is the dumbest thing I've read here since that "flying shouldn't be a primary type because something something cloud that dragons" nonsense. There already is a "punch" type, it's called Fighting, and the punch moves should be dual Fighting moves just like the sound moves should be (granted, dual-type status moves would be redundant unless something's immune to sound, but I'm sure there would be dual-type damaging Sound moves too).

Also, daily reminder that you people only think every new type idea is "retarded" because it hasn't happened yet. If any of these types had been present from the beginning I guarantee you wouldn't have a problem with any of them.

I could imagine Pokémon like Clefable line, Deoxys, Arceus, Lunatone, Solrock, Jirachi, , Jigglypuff line, etc. all being retyped as Cosmic, removing their "psychic" typing for those with psychic.

Grass needs a buff, also there's a fair amount of stories about cosmic beings/aliens/etc being weak against "nature" or aspects of nature on Earth. Only reason I say Arceus is because it's a very cosmic being, effectively being the being that shaped the universe.

Same thing with Fairy but in reverse, Fairy needs another weakness.

When you look at the type chart there is potential for weaknesses/resistances that aren't incorporated. Didn't wanna go over the top.

Cosmic type is the only logical and useful type that could be made. There are Pokémon who canonically came from space, there are moves that fit this type and it isn't as gay as light or sound.

Pokémon that would certainly become Cosmic type:
>Cleffa line, Fairy/Cosmic
>Ledyba line, Bug/Cosmic
>Volbeat/Illumise, Bug/Cosmic
>Lunatone/Solrock, Rock/Cosmic
>Chimecho line, Psychic/Cosmic
>Deoxys, pure Cosmic
>Lumineon, Water/Cosmic
>Cresselia and Darkrai, Psychic/Cosmic and Dark/Cosmic
>Gothita line, Psychic/Cosmic
>Elgyem line, pure Cosmic
Also others, but these are the most obvious.

There's also a shitload of Pokémon you can design to be Cosmic, based on things such as meteorites, UFO's, aliens and other stuff.

I'll provide flavour explanations if you don't get it.
Definitely on the strong side, but GF's way of re-balancing types is through creating other OP types anyway, so I think it passes the GF probability test.

Ledyba and Ledian are th "five star" poke'mon, the pokédex states numerous times they gain energy from the stars.
Volbeat/Illumise I admit isn't a really strong combination with space, but I found it fitting.

People also clamouring for Cosmic type; Psychic fills that role, as does Fairy to an extent.
If Punches can be their own type when Mega punch and Fire punch exist, then Sound is equally viable even when Perish song and Bug Buzz exist.

[Void] type would be reserved for pokemon who dont naturally exist within the world of pokemon. This would include, but not limited to, Giratina, Porygon/2/Z, Unown, and Arceus. It would encompass those who would otherwise be classified as cyber/digital types, Magic types, and similar potential types.

the type would be like a more neutral normal, as it would be super effective against itself and neutral to other types.

However, Im open for discussion on the type
