From those stats (they were calculated off of my 5/31/31/31/31/31 shiny deino so adjusted slightly)we get

160 HP,multiple of 16
125 speed (boosted to 187.5 by scarf), enough to outspeed Tyraniscarf with my own scarf, as well as every 252+Spd Jolly pokemon with 116 or less base speed (max speed hawlucha has 187 speed as well so we'll just assume a tie)

It's for hail/sandstorm damage. If you go above a multiple of 16 it does more damage every turn, if I read it right. With 160Hp it does 10 damage a turn, any higher and it would do 11

I'm pretty sure Hail/Sandstorm damage is rounded down, not up, so you'll get 9 damage per turn with 159 HP and 10 from 160 to 175.

Also don't forget that Weavile has Icicle Crash this gen.
That given, this seems a pretty solid spread, try it out.

Charizard + Garchomp sounds fairly promising. Sun is pretty strong and Garchomp can swat away most rock sliders with relative ease.

Question arises what you add to it though. Hard to capitalize on those turns of sun without stacking fire types.

With the CharChomp I was planning in add Mega Mawile 'cause Mawile + Charizard Y is strong and probably Aerodactyl with Tailwind.
Also Hydreigon if I add Mawile. I like that synergy

Aerodactyl is always a nice addition though, another good partner for Chomp.
Actually with Sky Drop it could take good care of Mawile as well.

its actually usually best of one in swiss rounds, then in top cut which is all X amount of players with a certain record usually, its best of 3. worlds is a little different from regionals and nationals since its all best of 3 including swiss

I want to run a Modest Salamence on my team, but I am unsure on how to EV it. Currently I have the standard 252/252 offenses with 4 in Hp, but I've been doing some calcs to survive certain threats like CharY or Hydreigon. Had no luck on how to properly EV it. I was considering sacrificing speed for bulk, but Salamence is at a nice speed tier above Hydreigon and Haxorus assuming no speed nature. Any help?

Nothing in particular as Hidden Power Ice pretty much OHKO's me unless I invest solely into special bulk. I was trying to play around with Rock moves to OHKO back after watching the vgc finals with Rock Tomb shenanigans. I don't like using Stone Miss not on Machamp or without STAB.

Well I figured since I am only running Rock whatever almost solely against CharY it would be better if I ran the strongest option against it. I didn't like Stone Edge, so that left me with Rock Slide or Tomb. Rock Slide does have flinch, but lower accuracy and power because doubles. So I figured Tomb works well.

Really? When I did vgc months ago I saw CharY on every other team and half the time it ran HP Ice it felt like.

I'm assuming the rest of the set is Drain punch, Protect and Fake out. I'd say Ice punch is a good choice, but if you don't have a way to deal with ghosts Aegislash would probably give you problems.

Gardevoir above all is very unpredictable, since it can be Scarf, Specs or set up TR.
You should always think about the worst situation possible.

Generally British players do worse than average at worlds too. The simplest explanation is because we don't have as many events so there's not much incentive to practice.
There's also a lot of drinking and 'bants' which probably doesn't help.

Divecat is a prankster Liepard or Purrloin with only assist, and other Pokémon with only Dive, Shadow Force, Dig etc.
Basically, they get prankster priority to use Assist to go into the attack (usually shadow force, so it hits through protect), then the second turn, since it's an attacking move, they go last with lagging tail, lax incense or whatever. It means you can't get hit either turn.
Without priority or weather, it's unbeatable. It's not exactly a good strategy in that it's easily countered by a lot of teams, but a surprising amount of relatively competent teams are slaughtered by it.

How would you go about practicing and trying out a team? I can't stand playing doubles on simulators and unrated Battle Spot is full of ingame teams or people who only use legendaries

I must have played 30 games the last few days and only lost one of them because my Mawile was being a shitter and consistently got low damage rolls against a Dusclops and lost over 1HP
