It'll be on the 3DS and it'll be pretty much like XY, with somewhat better graphics, 50 new Pokemon, 20 new Mega Evolutions, a few new items and moves, shit rival, shit evil team, shit story, many of the new Pokemon will have pink as it's main color and they will be far hotter than Gadevoir or Mega Lopunny.

Maybe. We're about halfway into the 3DS's life cycle, and last year really made the sales explode. Nintendo doesn't need to rush out a new handheld any time soon so they'll probably coast on the success of the 3DS just like they did with the DS.

after gen VI I've officially given up on any hype for new gen games. the only competent games I expect from GF these days are remakes and 3rd installments of the gen. GF plays it too fucking safe on the first installment of any gen to make it interesting

It'll probably be like 5th gen where it comes out near the end of the console's lifespan. They most likely won't want to put it on a new console until 2-4 years to let the install base grow.

It does, but it's still better to wait longer in the console's lifespan. They don't want to lose sales off of parents who don't want to buy their kids a new console right away.
