The Orre games existed pretty much just to get some Johto pokemon into Kanto and Hoenn because they were impossible to get in RSE or FRLG (and also to hype up Sinnoh in XD's case). Seeing as how once ORAS is released pretty much every non-legendary from any region other than Unova will be available in Gen VI alone, and the Unova mons were from last gen, there isn't much reason to make one from that angle.

Of course, they could just do a sort of mash up from all the gens regardless of availability, then do what XD did and give them each a unique move or two and include a few cameos from next gen.

I'm well aware of that. Colosseum was my favourite pokemon game by far, and definitely had the best story of any yet. Still, they main reason they were created was to bridge the gap caused by the new format, even if that ended up being only a small part of an expansive game.

I do not remember shit about playing Gale of Darkness, but in Colosseum I used Jumpluff, Typhlosion, Quagsire, Espeon, Heracross, and Togetic.

His Colosseum theme was funny and well-suited for a team of nothing but Ludicolo, but his XD theme was a better battle theme overall.

The Battle Sims were the best part of Gale of Darkness. A bunch of puzzles testing knowledge on intermediate skills instead of typical type advantage, and later Mt. Battle stages would use these setups when you actually went through them. Shit was fun as fuck.

This series could use a sequel, one of the two brothers ran away at the end of GOD vowing revenge, and all the admins are still at large.
If they really wanted to justify the cost they could release HA's in this game via the shadow pokemon, as well as having exclusive moves.
I want to consider those two chucklefucks canon, but they almost certainly aren't.
As for the pokemon, keep them limited during gameplay so that you ave to actually think and strategize, opening a safari zone or the like post game.
first playthrough I caught that meditite, it hi-jump kicked everything and got to level 99 by end.
