This is my first real time trying to actually catch 'em all. I'm usually the sort that just plays through the main storyline and then tools around in the Battle Frontier or the like until I move on to another game.

Working on a living dex right now, and it's really draining. I never played GSC or HGSS so it was a real challenge to get the legends over GTS without scamming.

I was the same way, then I actually just spent a week of summer vacation just trading until I got all 719 dex fills. I definitely would never use wt though.

Eh, I figure I'm probably never going to use a Scrafty or a Pansage in a competitive environment, especially not the first one I threw a Quick Ball at. I figure I don't lose much by WTing them until I get something I haven't had before, and I get poke'miles in the process.

That is true, but come along ORAS/Gen 7 and let's say you can't catch a scrafty or pansage in game, it's only adding time onto the process. Instead I would breed and extra of everyone I caught then wt one of the two, then breed the news one you got. Rinse and repeat.

I got this lvl. 1 Giratina named Diarrhea from WT. You can spawn a lvl 1 or hatch an egg or something from the HGSS Arceus event thing, right? So that part is definitely at least possible.

But what about the moveset lolol?

I think Ominous Wind and Mud Slap were tutor moves in HGSS. Can't remember if Pain Split was or not, maybe one of the ones from the move restorer.

Just tested it, possible with the Arceus thing in HGSS. I just tested it, but i caught it in a heavy ball. Passes bank just fine, will see if it will wondertrade later.

Definitely hacked. I tried to get this done, and got everything done aside from mud slap and the nickname. Bank removes the nickname. I'm going to see if there is another way, but so far, can't make it happen by legitimate means.

This is the best I could do while keeping it theoretically possible, and I got the nickname to pass through bank without getting stripped.
I'm sure the mud slap version can be done via available hacks, but it doesn't seem possible in-game, unless someone else can figure that out.
